It’s Thursday, let’s get thankful!
- I am super thankful that the blade on my razor was old and very dull this week when I heard these heart-stopping words, “Mommy, I just found out your razor leaves red bumps on my lips. Why?” I am also thankful that her test was limited to just one corner of her mouth and didn’t include her tongue. Needless to say, we had a loooooong talk about what a razor is (a type of knife) and that she was NEVER to touch it again. (Yes, it is kept up high, but she is a climber. Yes, usually the door is closed/locked, but life happens – and I got distracted while putting things away in there.)
- I am thankful that the bite on Peanut’s finger did not need stitches. Who would have thought a child could bite their own finger like that while eating baked apple slices?
- I am thankful that the burn on Peanut’s finger was not as serious as it could have been when she decided to try touching lightbulbs. (Can you tell which child is trying to give me grey hair this week?)
- I am thankful that my little guy cares so much about his big sister. When he heard her crying in her room, he came and got me. When she burnt her finger, he came running for me.
- I am thankful that we got to have a wonderful playdate at the park this week, enjoying the beautiful weather and playing well together.
So, now you know what I’m thankful for this week. What are you thankful for this Thankful Thursday?

I am thankful, seriously, for wonderful, honest bloggy friends who aren’t afraid to show they don’t have it all together. Wonderful mommies who are willing to share the bumps along the way.
This world’s be perfect standard is just impossible. I LOVE a real mommy friend who says sometimes life with kids is crazy!!! 🙂
And I am thankful for my Dr. Bronner’s peppermint soap. YAY!!! Our sweet puppy smells delicious — and a whole lot less like dirty dog! 🙂

Thank you. You’re right, that image of the perfect mother is impossible. When I was first a mother I felt so defeated, until I realized you can only do your best every day. Some days your best is better than others.
I am going to have to look for that soap! I love the smell of mint, and our doggie is stinky 90 percent of the time. 🙂

You know, of all the times I’ve done a Thankful Thursday post, you’d think I’d have done one on that by now! I did the power of prayer, but you’re right….

Glad the razor incident wasn’t worse!

I am thankful that I had so much support on my blog that it helped me to stay strong in letting some of the bad in my life to allow much more room to enjoy the good. Everyone’s comments were so thoughtful. It truly meant so much to me…including yours 🙂

Sometimes the support we find in the blog world is amazing — I guess it’s one reason we all come back to it.

Oh, my goodness! Your little one is giving you a run for your money! Fortunately my kids weren’t climbers…who know what they would’ve gotten into! Peanut sounds very adventurous, though, and just think about all the things she’s learned by exploring her world this week!

Oh, she is definitely an adventure seeker! Every day there is something new she discovers; I love seeing things through her eyes, although I admit sometimes I don’t give her the time to talk about her discoveries like I should.

Norah is just now starting to crawl and she’s already trying to find any outlet that doesn’t have a cover lol I am not looking forward to her finding things that I didn’t think she could get to.
Love that you’re so open and honest!

Oh, they do find trouble early, don’t they? I really think the girls are the most curious…lol. At least I hope so, since my youngest is a boy…Just keep hoping he’ll be the easy one!
Can’t wait to read YOUR Thankful Thursday!
