Woo-hoo! Time to party!
Welcome all party-goers (and my usual, wonderful readers)! I’ve been looking forward to this moment ever since arriving to the party mid-week last year. (Does that mean I was fashionably late?)
What’s a party without drinks and some yummy food to munch on while you mingle? Thankfully my little helpers were right there, mixing up their specialty. Of course, if you prefer something a little stronger (and real), there’s always the cupcake vodka my husband grabbed for me last Christmas. Now where are those shot glasses…..? Hmmm….
I know! The cups from the play kitchen are the right size, and so much prettier, don’t you think? Seriously, where are my manners? I should introduce myself.
I’m OneMommy, and you’ve stumbled into my little spot of the web where I go to unwind, meet new friends, and try to get the never-ending Veggie Tale music out of my head. I never pictured myself as a SAHM, and then I went back to teaching after our daughter was born. That was the topic of my first Thankful Thursday post. Now my days are filled with picture books, laughter, crafts, and trying to be the mommy my kids deserve.
Want to know more? Check out 22 Things I’ve Done. (Once upon a time I used to shoot in pistol contests and actually won 2 pistols!)
Now, enough about me.
Grab a bite of fruit sushi and tell me a little about you.

I hadn’t heard of it either until my husband got the little sample bottle. I might just have to crack it open this week. 🙂

One Mommy- I had not read your 22 things you have done list before. How did I miss it ? You are super cool. I wish we could get together for a kiddy play date, but at least we can be friends here in our bloggy worlds. You rock sistah!

I have it hidden away, I guess. 🙂 I wish I could hang out with quite a few people I’ve met in bloggy world – that would be awesome!

What a fun post! I’ve often thought to myself that the drinking glasses in the toy kitchen were the PERFECT size to be used as shot glasses. Glad I’m not the only one!
Hope you’re having a great time with the UBP!

I know – they are just about right… And probably the closest I’m going to get to having a real shot lately!

This is my first year in the UBP. I love your introduction post. I appreciate some “mommy’s juice” regularly after the kids are in bed. 🙂

hello, just stopping by from UBP 12012. love the pics! i’m thinking i might get a little pretend kitchen for my daughter too and wondering how much use she’ll get out of it?

We got our play kitchen when she was 19 months old (her new baby brother got it for her…) I have to say they have played with it in some way, shape, or form just about every day since then. They both like to pretend to cook. She washes her babies in the little sink… His cars get snacks from the fridge…. It’s a winner! Off to see your post now!
