Saturday.
I love Saturdays.
That’s the day my husband usually gets up and makes chocolate chip pancakes with the little ones. That means, of course, that there is no rush for me to get out of bed to feed 2 starving little ones.
Today was no exception.
Even better, after breakfast we all lazed around as a family and let the kids lead us into a world of imagination. Somehow my husband fit himself into the little Dora pop-up play house with the preschooler and toddler. Stuffed animals filled any spaces that remained. Mommy got to play “the big bad wolf” a few times, giggles filled the air.Of course, by the time I found the camera, the cuteness was gone. All that remained was the pillows, blankets, and stuffed animals they had filled the pop-up house with. But the memory, that is something I am thankful to have shared with my family.
It’s moments like this that are priceless to me.
The laundry? The yardwork? It can wait. Little ones grow up way too fast.
Have a great weekend, and cherish all those little moments!

How lovely! I also love Saturday mornings for similar reasons – my husband wakes up and makes breakfast with the little one. But the days when the lazy continues after breakfast – those are the good ones 🙂 Glad you got to enjoy!
Stopping by from SITS Saturday Sharefest!

I’m thinking we need a whole day of lazy… We had the morning but then I ventured out to do yardwork, and now I’m pretty sure I’ll be too sore to do much tomorrow! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by from SITS — off to yours now!

What a great memory of family fun time! You know it may have been a good thing you didn’t have the camera … sometimes I try so hard to capture pictures that I miss getting to participate … and you got to play the Big Bad Wolf!!!! Sounds like a great day!
I’m glad I found you through SITS!

So true! To be honest, I didn’t look for the camera until the playing was coming to a close – so I guess I shouldn’t have been shocked that all that was left were the pillows and blankets. 🙂

I love those moments when you’re all submerged in the silly play as a family.

Those moments when we are all playing as a family really are the best. Definitely need to make them more of a priority.

Your camera never seems to be available at those moments! Stopping by from SITS.

So true! Or, like yesterday, the battery dies. That’s one reason it took so long to find that camera!
Thanks for stopping by; off to yours now!

You’re a good mama! Your kids will always remember those sweet family mornings.

I hope they do! They are something I want to treasure years from now. I’m thinking it needs to be a weekly thing, pancakes and then playtime!
