It’s amazing what kids pick up.
Several weeks ago I overheard my children in serious conversation. Unable to stop myself, I stopped to figure out what could be so serious.
“You see,” I heard my oldest tell her brother, “God made everything. And Jesus made it all right.”
What an amazingly insightful thing to hear my 5 year-old tell her brother.
I know I have never said those words to her.
And once again I’m reminded that the children shall lead us.

Oh man, that’s awesome. You get the good mommy award. Unfortunately, I walk in to hear my child say, “Dammit Indie” …Indie is our dog…oh crap.
LOL — I don’t know about a mommy award; you never know what ANY kid is going to say!
What a beautiful spirit your daughter has.

Thank you. She really is amazing. I need to tell her that more often.
Amazing. Got chills just reading that. I look forward to hearing my kids having similar conversations someday.

I have no doubt that you will hear all kinds of amazing things from your future children!
Very encouraging words I must say OneMommy. I get really happy when my children say things like this too!

She amazes me every day — sometimes her wisdom is so beyond her years.
That is so sweet. It is amazing what children pick up when WE think they aren’t listening. I’ve noticed similar conversations between my girls. Once it was about lying.
My oldest said, “That’s not nice. That wasn’t true. Do you know who the Father of the Lie is?”
To which her sister said, “Satan,” with a sad, scared sound in her voice.
“That’s right and he is God’s enemy. You don’t want to be God’s enemy, do you?”
Pretty heavy for a six year old, but it just reinforced to me that she has been listening and soaking it all in all along. Love my conscientious little ones.
BTW thanks for stopping by during SITS Girls Share Fest. Appreciated your comment. I’m following you on Networked Blogs, FB, G+, Pinterest and Twitter too just so I don’t miss anything
