I love springtime, but along with the warmer weather and beautiful flowers, there are also seasonal allergies. That means a lot of tissues being used, and perfect timing for some tissue box crafts.
For most tissue box crafts (like our tissue box vehicles) you need an empty box to start with. But my preschooler decided to decorate a full tissue box this time — giving us all a little smile each time we grabbed a tissue this allergy season. It became a pretty cute preschooler bunny craft.
Tissue Box Bunny Craft
Using a paint brush, Peanut applied glue to stick the brown paper to the box. (No need to use construction paper, check the recycling box for an old paper bag.)
We covered the front of the box first, using a rectangle of brown paper with the ears cut out. Then she applied pink paper to the ears and a cute bunny nose.
The next step was to wrap the rest of the box. Once the box was covered, I carefully cut a slit for the tissues to come through.
She drew on the rest of the face and added a handful of cotton balls for a fluffy bunny tail.
Who can resist smiling when grabbing a tissue out of that box?

Smart! I have one that is almost empty, maybe I’ll refrain from tossing it in the trash 🙂

That is the hard part, making sure no one else pitches what you want to use for a craft! 🙂

What a great idea for a Spring craft! It’s perfect for our Spring Fling link-up, so thank you so much for linking it up! 🙂 I think the bunny is totally adorable! I bet my boys would love decorating their tissue boxes (yes, they each have one by the bed year round due to colds or allergies) in some way. Great idea! 🙂

I love this! My son would absolutely love getting the tissue box if it looks like this. He usually runs when he sees me coming with the plain ol’ tissue box. Thanks so much for the idea!
Thanks for sharing on Turn It Up Tuesday! We love having you! 🙂
