This week Mama Kat challenged us to write a post in 12 lines. Here it goes!
This week I am thankful for:
…my daughter’s excitement for half-day “Messy Art Camp.” Every day she has come out of her room, dressed and ready to go. The fact that she is dressed before noon is BIG. Seriously.
…my son agreeing to try Kid-Watch at the YMCA again. Months ago they put him in the gym. Tons of kids, balls bouncing, lots of noise — it was a nightmare for him. He hasn’t wanted to go back since. I sat right by the door, and he ignored all the other kids and just watched the t.v., but he did it. We’re talking HUGE here.
…having a good family doctor. I made an appointment for my oldest to get her school physical/shots, my youngest to get his yearly check-up, and for me because my knee has been hurting for a couple months now. All too often you hear about doctors rushing you out the door. He took the time to talk to both of the kids, listen to my concerns about my son’s issues around other kids, and joke about writing me a prescription to go back to the beach.
…old t.v. shows on DVD. Being able to pop in a DVD when there isn’t anything good on t.v. at nighttime is priceless. (And getting the DVD’s free from the library is a big plus, too!)
Your turn! Leave a comment telling me what you’re thankful for this week.
