We’ve been having lots of fun with our water beads since our first water bead exploration. We’ve played with them in water and out, and with mermaids, pirates, and various animals.
I have been looking forward to mixing it up a bit, so to speak.
I gathered up a few materials: large tub for sensory play, play dishes, can of shaving cream, and, of course, the water beads.
No explanation was necessary; they couldn’t wait to get their hands in it!
They dished up numerous cream pies, complete with brightly colored “berries,” and “candies.” They played for almost an hour. (I have to say, I made a few pies myself. The shaving cream gave the water beads a whole different feel!)
And the best part was clean up was a breeze!
I hosed off their arms, the back porch, and all the dishes. Then I poured the watery shaving cream and water beads into a strainer and rinsed away the shaving cream, leaving our water beads clean and ready for another day.
