Last week we did “F” is for firetruck. This week it was time for vehicle activities for letter “G.”
What vehicle comes to mind for the letter “G?” Why, “G” is for garbage truck, of course!
Our first activity was a simple block puzzle to form capital “G.”
Then I asked him to line up his garbage trucks in order from biggest to smallest.
Once our trucks were in order, we worked on estimation skills. I asked him how many large Lego blocks he thought could fit in the back of his largest garbage truck.
By then the preschooler was ready for a garbage truck craft.
I had traced some simple shapes onto a piece of paper earlier. He found the correct spots to glue them and create his own shape garbage truck.
(I had tissue paper I thought we could put on the back like garbage, but my little artist didn’t like my idea.)
We had fun with our vehicle activities for the letter “G,” but Mommy really wants to get to “I.” (Ice cream truck anyone??)
