Sometimes it is nice to have a craft for little ones to do that is simple for them to work on while you get things done around the house.
I LOVE the cute shape owl craft my son made last week during story time at the library!
It is definitely something easy enough for a preschooler to look at and recreate on their own using pre-cut shapes. Older kids can cut their own shapes out to create their owl, or even come up with their own animals using just shapes.
To create your own shape owl you will need a large rectangle for the body, 2 circles for eyes, 2 half ovals for wings, and 3 triangle to form the beak and ears.
My kids plan on creating a few this week for their Grandma Owl. (Yep, that’s what they call my mom. She has quite the owl collection, and I think these would be pretty cute on her refrigerator!)
