June has been busy around here! It started with a week in Iowa for my niece’s wedding, the next week was VBS, and then Girl Scout day camp.
It was while I was hanging with my preschooler at VBS that I came across this cute paper plate flower craft.
Isn’t that just too cute? I love those feathers!
To create this particular paper plate flower, we started with a small colored paper plate for the center. The kids then glued on colorful feathers for the petals. This is where they can really get creative!
The stem is actually a sliver cut from a green pool noodle.
One more paper plate, this time in green, got cut in half to create the flowers leaves.
I love how creative you can get when making your paper plate flowers. Construction paper, sequins, glitter…the ideas of what could be used is endless!
Looking for a larger flower?
Use a larger plate for the center and tape smaller colored plates around it as petals! (The artist of this one further decorated it with a paper cup and feathers in the center.)
This paper plate flower craft makes the perfect decoration for spring and summer parties.
