We were at the grocery store, picking out fresh red apples, when my daughter saw them.
There they were, piled together in a small box: mini pumpkins. Orange, white, and even striped ones were just waiting for someone to take them home. The next thing I knew, 3 tiny pumpkins were in the front seat of the cart.
I knew they’d be perfect for some no carve pumpkin decorating ideas.
One of my daughter’s favorites were these sparkly pumpkins.
No-carve pumpkins are perfect for kids to create because there is no knife needed. That means they can get crafty without needing constant supervision. (10 minute mom break anyone?)
This sparkly no-carve pumpkin will add a bit of bling to your table this fall. If your child loves bling, they may also like this glitter pumpkin decorating idea.
Sparkly Pumpkins
Materials Needed:
- Pumpkins
- Decorative Craft Gemstones
- Sequins
- Craft Glue
- Paintbrush and Shallow Container(optional)
Before decorating your pumpkins, wash and dry them thoroughly.
Pour a small amount of glue into a shallow container. Use a paintbrush to apply glue to the pumpkin and add gemstones. Get creative. You can create a pattern with the gems, or scatter them randomly. (Tip: Smaller gems work best. We found larger gems slid down the pumpkin’s side.)
If desired, add colorful sequins to give your pumpkin a bit more sparkle.
Those piled up pumpkins next to the red apples caught my daughter’s eye.
Now these no-carve sparkly pumpkins are catching lots of attention at home. They make a pretty table centerpiece on their own, or pair them with our googly eye pumpkin for a bit of variety.
