Last week, in the midst of our tummy virus time, I was still thankful. I look forward to my Thankful Thursday post each week because it really can change your attitude to just look around you and realize what all there is to be thankful for.
This week, as I sit here watching the Lots and Lots of Trucks video with my little ones (for the hundredth time or so), I am thankful for:
- The library. Each week we get new books to read (sometimes old favorites) and new videos to watch, expanding our library and keeping us all interested at reading time.
- Date night. We dropped the kids off at the in-laws’ on Tuesday to vote and then escaped to Larossa’s for all-you-can-eat spaghetti night. YUM! (Okay, so then we did groceries, so romantic… But having even just that little bit of time together, without the kids, does wonders for our relationship.
- Cardboard and duct tape. Don’t laugh! Both of these are relatively cheap, and if you’ve been a reader long, you know our downstairs play area is built of these two items. This week I am giving the half I didn’t redo with Dora a make-over. (Pics will be up when I’m finished!)
- Warmer weather. It’s been nice being able to take the kids out for longer periods. We even got to the park yesterday. So much fun to chase them down the slides and get all our energy out.
And now, dear readers, it’s your turn! What are you thankful for this week?

I am laughing so hard right now! Do you know what kind of Google searches you are going to get with a title like “date night and duct tape?” Sorry it just struck me as hilarious since some people might take it a certain way. lol!
Glad you had such a yummy date night, it really is a must for married couples.
And I think duct tape probably is a must for anyone with kids.

LOL, I did pick the title b/c I thought people would wonder what it was about, but I hadn’t thought about the Google searches! I already get such interesting spam just from having Mommy in my blog title…
Now, speaking of interesting titles, I’m off to check out your stirrups one!
