Paper Snowman #Craft

January 6, 2012 by OneMommy

Christmas went by without snow.  Since the kids have waited all year for snow, I felt compelled to take them out this past Monday, and even though there was only a slight dusting on the grass they had fun.

Since there wasn’t enough to make a real snowman, we made a few inside.

The first was a simple construction paper snowman.  I cut out white circles in three different sizes.  I also cut out pieces for eyes, noses, and mouths.  The kids had fun using glue sticks to assemble their snowman.toddler snowman craftpaper craftMy preschooler requested a hat for hers, and the toddler thought that sounded good too.  I cut out the extra pieces they came up with, including brooms, and they finished their craft.

They had lots of fun making their construction paper snowman, and I couldn’t wait to try my next snowman craft idea with them….

Want to see what snowmen we made next?  I’ll be sharing it with you tomorrow in my next post!

Thanks! I always love my little boy’s take on the project! Never thought he’d hate the cotton balls sticking to his fingers so much!

Very cute snowman!!! We don’t get snow where we live so we settled for paper snow flakes this year.

I found and followed you through Mom Loop Friday!

You always bring back the happiest memories to me of crafting like this when my girls were younger. We made snowman one year by sticking cotton balls down with glue over black construction paper. Then my girls used those jewels with the sticker back and made faces. They also put down some random glue with a glue stick and sprinkled glitter around it to look like snow was falling down. That was such a fun day!

Oh! LOL… That’s what my next snowman is going to be – with cotton balls. Only I never thought of using glitter to make it look like snow falling down. My kids LOVE glitter! I will have to keep that idea in mind for next time!
