So, as my regular readers know, I just got back from vacation. Already missing the beach!
I have so much to be thankful for this week!
I’m thankful my husband was able to take the week off to go on vacation.
I’m thankful that we had a safe travel to Florida and back. There were horrendous storms when we left Disney World, lightning like I haven’t seen in years, and thankfully my husband didn’t seem bothered by driving through them (I wanted to hide under a cover like our daughter did in the back seat).
I’m thankful for the kids’ wonderful behavior in the car. 15 hours with a 3 1/2 and 2 year old, you just expect insanity, but really we had very few “issues”. The biggest being when our son wouldn’t sleep at the rest area we tried to nap at…
I’m thankful our dog had a safe place to stay while we were gone, and that the weather wasn’t too hot for her (she stayed outside). I’m also thankful we had just enough dog shampoo to give her a bath when we got home. LOL!
And even though vacation went by too quickly, I’m thankful for the memories we made; I’ll always remember the look of awe our daughter had when she saw the princesses dancing at Disney World….
What are you thankful for this week?

Sounds like a great week! Especially the part about the kids doing well in the car 😉 I really, really can’t wait to take Baby to Disney World one day!

Having the ability to give your children such beautiful memories is really a wonderful thing! I will never forget going to Disneyworld as a little girl. <3
This week, I'm thankful that my boyfriend and I still like each other & are able to communicate after 10 years, and that even when we disagree, we never go to bed mad at each other. I think that I don't appreciate him enough, and this past week has made me realize that.

Yes, I think my daughter will always remember her first visit. She refers to it as visiting Fairytale Land… and I guess Magic Kingdom is a little like that!
Thanks for stopping by– 10 years is a long time not to go to bed mad, congrats!

We have been thinking of taking our kids to the beach for the first time. They are 4 and 1. We are about 3 hrs away from the nearest beach so I will have to check out all your travel ideas too!
Stopping by from Mom Loop Friday! 🙂

3 hours away! Go for it! They will love it! Just watch the sand eating… LOL. My 2 year old thought it was funny to eat sand and have Mommy get all worried…
Heading to your site now!

Coming back from vacation has its good and bad moments. Good that you have wonderful, happy memories of the last few days to keep a smile on your face and bad that you have piles and piles of laundry to do. Oh how I remember those days well. 🙂
So glad you had a wonderful time at DisneyWorld. It is such a magical place to take children to — at any age. (For me it was Disneyland…) You just can go wrong there.

Yes, I’m deep in the laundry now! LOL. And still have a little unpacking to do…. Can’t wait to check out your post on indoor play, since it’s been raining here since we got home from vacation!
