Yes! Yes! Especially the part about grandparent gifting. Our grandbabies are accustomed to getting one nice little present for Christmas and birthdays, but what they don’t know (yet) is that we also make a sizable contribution to their 529’s. Someday they will thank us for that, even if we aren’t there any more.

I am sure mine will still need loans, but hopefully their 529 plans will help ease that burden. Definitely look into the options in your state — many have 529 plans or something similar.

It’s never too early to start saving for college. I know from experience what a pain student loans can be so I really want to get saving for my kids.
