Thankful for the Chance to Change

February 15, 2012 by OneMommy

You don’t have to stay the person you’ve been.

It doesn’t matter how old you are, you can change the path you’ve been on.

To me, this possibility holds hope.

Everyone has something they wish they could change from their past.  A moment in time, a behavior they wish they could change, something they’ve said (or didn’t say)…

I am no exception.

My New Year’s Resolution revolves around a part of me I want to change.

The past week hasn’t been easy; I’ve found myself yelling more than hugging.  I haven’t felt like the mommy that I want to be.  The mommy I want for my children.

But I am thankful for possibilities, and working to change the path I’ve been on.

And I’m trying to remember that changing that path will only happen one step at a time.

What are you thankful for this Thankful Thursday?

Thank you. It’s not easy to admit when you are feeling less that your best.

Can’t wait to check out your cupcake recipe!

I think it must be something in the air this week. All of my mommy friends and myself have been feeling this way this week. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Bad days are far and few between and it shows in the love and time that you shower on your children. They know that ๐Ÿ˜‰
    Have a great weekend!

Thank you. I needed to hear that – that it’s not just me feeling like a so-so mommy this week.
I think our crazy weather isn’t helping things – I’ve been having headaches off and on all week and it’s hard to be a cheerful mommy then…

      Have a great weekend, too!

That is exactly why I do Thankful Thursday every week… Counting your blessings always makes things seem brighter.

We all go through weeks like that…doesnt make you a bad person- or mother. I wish I could take back a lot of what I have done in the past- but its the past for a reason.

Thanks. Sometimes we all need to be reminded we aren’t alone.
Now if I can just let go of some of the things in my past I’d like to forget.
