Happy Thursday everyone!
Today’s Thankful Thursday post is based on a writing prompt from Mama Kat’s Writer’s Workshop…
Today I’m thankful for who I am. As I’ve said before, I never imagined myself as a SAHM… I didn’t wind up where I thought I’d be; there’s been bumps along the way, but I am so glad I’ve found myself where I truly belong.

Thankful for Who I Am
I am a stay at home mom of 2.
I wonder what the future holds.
I hear graduation cheers and a silent house.
I see a future doctor or veterinarian and a class clown.
I want to keep them little forever.
I am a stay at home mom of 2.
I pretend to know what I’m doing.
I feel more love than I knew was possible.
I touch soft blonde curls and kiss pink cheeks.
I worry I’m not doing enough, that I’ll say the wrong things.
I cry on the days where I feel we fought all day.
I am a stay at home mom of 2.
I understand that they grow up way too fast.
I say, “I love you,” and hope they know it’s true.
I dream of bright futures and beautiful smiles.
I try to hold on to every moment, every memory.
I hope one day they will get to feel this love I have inside for them.

I’m a stay at home mom of two, or I was. My kids are both in college now but home for the summer. It goes so fast. Cherish every moment, and it sounds like you are. A lovely poem.

It DOES go fast! I can’t believe my little girl will be turning 5 this year! Where does the time go?

I always love your thankful posts. They make me look at my life, week, day, minute differently. They remind me to keep my happy and let the bad stuff go. I am thankful for your posts reminding me to do so!
Have a great weekend!!

Thank you so much!
Writing them each week helps me see things differently, and I really hope my posts help my readers take a moment and “let the bad stuff go”, as you said.

This was a really cute post. I’m following up on your comment you left at “Minnesota Girl in LA” and thought I’d take the time to check out your blog. I hope it’s been a good Friday for you since it’s that in my world now.

This is a beautiful thankful post. I’m also a mom of 2 and it does move by way too quickly. I just want to bottle it up somehow. Thanks for sharing this.
OneMommy says
Oh, if I could bottle this time and keep it forever! 🙂 (Yes, there are those day that seem like they go on forever, but I know one day I’ll miss all this!)

I loved this post. Your words were inspiring and so full of thankfulness. I spent a great deal of time home with my son, and I am grateful for every minute of it.

Thank you. Never thought I’d have this job, but I love it more than anything.
