Oh my goodness! I must have lost track of time… Welcome, welcome! I can’t believe it’s time for the Ultimate Blog Party again!
Please excuse the mess; we’ve been busy crafting again this morning. (Just step over the empty egg carton and craft sticks over there, and watch the hot glue gun! That thing will get you every time…)
Let me introduce myself; I go my OneMommy here in the blog world. I’m a former middle school teacher who left the classroom to become a SAHM to my babies here in SW Ohio. (Okay, so one is 6 now and the other is going to be 5 soon…. They are STILL my babies!) I’ve been blogging here for the past 3 years.
How did my blog get it’s name?
As a mom you tend to get pulled in a lot of directions: the baby is crying; the toddler needs a snack; the dog wants out; the husband is looking for dinner…. You get the idea. I found myself saying, “There’s just one mommy…” a lot, and the name was born.
Now a days the name has taken on a new meaning to me. It’s all about trying to be the best mommy I can be for my kids — after all, there’s just one mommy!

Thanks. Have to say it’s a favorite of mine. It’s almost 3 years old, but I just can’t get myself to change it.

Great party post! I’m so glad your joining again this year, even though you’ve had quite a difficult Spring. I hope your dad is doing well!
OneMommy says
Thank you.
It has definitely not been my favorite year so far, or spring for that matter! My dad has been sent home, and hopefully they will get the right mix of meds to get his heart back in rhythm and fix his other issues as well.
Have a great time at the party!

What? Your spam protection made me do math!? I became a blogger so I wouldn’t have to do things like that!
The picture of you in the towel is clever. As is adding the extra links to other posts. I wish I would have done that.
Happy partygoing!
OneMommy says
LOL — thanks! The party really did take me surprise this year, hence the pic!
There is always time to add in links to those other posts! 🙂

Love your post and welcome to the party! My post is late again this year, but I’ll be joining in on all the fun before too long. I’ve followed you on Twitter, and, if you follow me back, you’ll see my party post go up! Happy UBP14!
OneMommy says
It’s always good to be fashionably late! 😉
Heading your way now to check out your blog and to find you on Twitter!

I stepped on a egg carton. I think there was still an egg in it. Sorry.
OneMommy says
LOL! That’s better than when my daughter decided to show her little brother how to crack an egg…using an entire carton of them right there on the kitchen floor.
Hope you didn’t get any shell in your foot!
P.S. Thanks for stopping by; have fun at the party!

Love the name of your blog! It is so true that we moms get pulled in so many directions. It’s too bad we cannot clone ourselves to help us get through those really chaotic days. Just wanted to stop in and say hey from the UBP14! Nice to meet you!
OneMommy says
Oh, there have definitely been days I’ve wished I could clone myself!!
Thanks for stopping by! Party on!

LOL — thanks! I felt so unprepared for the party this year, I thought a pic to show just that was in order!
