If you’ve been on Facebook during the past few months or so, chances are you’ve heard about the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
The original intent of the challenge was to help grow awareness and support for ALS. Unfortunately, there are those who have taken this challenge and twisted it into something so ugly and disgusting it makes me feel sick to even think about it.
In Bay Village, Ohio three teens used this challenge to humiliate a fellow classmate with Autism.
The teen accepted the ice bucket challenge, but instead of dumping ice water on him, they dumped a bucket full of urine, spit, and feces.
No one deserves to be treated like this.
We live in a world where we watch stories like this on the news and think, “Wow, that’s awful!”
Then our lives go on.
Instead of just being bystanders, it’s time we stood together to show that love is bigger than hate.
(This is a sponsored post on behalf of GiveForward. All opinions are 100% my own.)
That is the whole idea of GiveForward. Right now there is a GiveForward fundraiser set up for this young boy.
The money raised will go directly to his family, but there is something even bigger going on!
Please stop over to the Giveforward page to show your support so he knows he is not alone. The goal is to get 1,000 comments on his page.
You can help meet that goal.
Together we can show this boy that love really is bigger than hate. (#Love>Hate)
