A Leaptop Gift for Monkey

May 20, 2011 by OneMommy

I haven’t done a Favorites Friday post in a while, but after my son’s second birthday this past week, I feel inspired to write one about a gift we got him.

At Christmas time his sister got a purple LeapFrog Leaptop. I programmed it with her name, some favorite songs, etc. She enjoyed it, but after a few months her brother began to pine over it. He would literally sneak into her room and take it to a special hiding spot so he could play with it.

It was a no brainer when it came to his birthday that that would be the perfect gift. Once he opened it, that was all he wanted! He didn’t even blink at the little push motorcycle we got for him to ride… And when he realized that THIS one said his name? Magic. Right away big sister had to get hers so they could sit side by side using their LeapFrog Leaptops.

Playing, learning, and having fun!

I know that both of these are coming with us when we travel to Florida this summer; they’re guaranteed to keep them occupied in the car for a while. If you are looking for a gift for a second birthday, I highly recommend this one! (And a bonus for me, no more fighting over big sister’s Leaptop).

I was not paid or compensated in any way for writing this post. It’s just a great product I wanted to share with my readers!

We had matching leapsters in our house for quite some time. They were wonderful when we drove to South Dakota two summers ago.

Those are great gifts! I can’t wait until my little one gets to the age when he can actually play with stuff like that and learn at the same time! How awesome!

    And yes, great occupier! 🙂

I hope your weekend is going wonderful!

    XO Shar

I love leapfrog, and am super impressed with your daughter for putting up with your son’s sneaky approaches to playing with the purple one.

My little guy LOVES our daughter’s leapfrog Junior reader (which is super awesome too), which has inspired our girl to keep it up on top of her dresser where he can’t reach it, even when it’s not in play. Her dresser surface, which used to be covered in photos and keepsakes, is now packed to the hilt with all that she doesn’t want his grubby little hands on!

LOL! Yes, my little girl has all her special things up on her dresser, too! They also have the Leapfrog Readers – we got my son the junior one b/c he loved his sister’s so much!
