Every time someone in our family gets a present that is in a gift bag, I keep the tissue paper. Yes, I’m one of those that carefully folds up the colorful tissue to reuse in future gifts.
The colorful paper is also great when it comes to crafting, as tissue paper is essential when it comes to quick and easy sun catcher crafts.
This week the preschooler and kindergartner got some of the colorful tissue paper out to make their own Easter sun catcher. The preschooler Easter craft looks pretty in a sunny window.
Easter Sun Catcher Craft
Materials Needed:
- Construction Paper
- Colored Tissue Paper
- Clear Contact Paper
- Glue Stick
To start the craft I cut out 2 identical eggs from construction paper and then cut out the centers to make an egg-shaped “frame” for the sun catcher.
Then I placed the paper egg onto clear contact paper. (If you don’t have contact paper, clear packing tape will work in a pinch!)
The preschooler cut pieces of colored tissue paper out and stuck them onto the contact paper. Once she finished, we used a glue stick to put the identical paper egg on top.
Then they were ready to hang up!
This simple Easter Suncatcher craft looks pretty in our kitchen window.
