Favorites Friday – Backpacks Cute Enough for Your Little Cutie

March 18, 2011 by OneMommy

Kids acquire things.  Happy Meal toys, birthday gifts, little trinkets from gumball machines, treasures found outside, the list goes on and on.  And when they are young, they like to take all their special treasures of the day with them.  If they don’t have pockets big enough that means Mommy is stuck guarding them when they need to use their hands for something else (like finding more treasures).  That is, unless they have a bag of their own to put them all in.  And when it comes to kid bags, backpacks rule!  Putting a strap over each shoulder prevents the slipping of one strap bags, plus kids just like carrying backpacks.  (Think Dora the Explorer here.)  That’s why I was so excited when my kids received these cute and functional backpacks for Christmas this year.toddler backpacks

On Tuesdays they use their backpacks to lug their library books back to the library and to acquire some new favorites to take home.  When we walk next door to Mamaw and Papaw’s house they can carry their toys, sippy cups, or whatever they feel they need with them that day.  (And they are pretty cute holding hands and walking on the path in front of me with their little backpacks –)

The kids love having their own backpacks, and they like the easy Velcro openings that even my youngest can handle.  They also like that each of their backpacks are personalized with their names and a cute picture that represents an interest of theirs.  That’s why they are my choice for Favorites Friday this week.

By the way, the backpacks came from Stitch-n-Keep.com; there are many other beautiful, heirloom quality items available from the site as well.boy with backpack

This post was not written as a review, nor was I paid or given anything for my opinion.  It is just that, my opinion.

Your kids are adoreable! I love backpacks for presents for children. They have so many to choose from and your right so many uses. Now that all three are in school they are not as cute but still very practical. I miss seeing my daughter in her bity baby backpack though, sweet times! Fun post, thanks!

I need to start thinking of buying my sons little backpacks like that. Lord knows they will fill it up full of their little toys and trinkets.
    Visiting you from Mom Loop!
