Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

March 17, 2013 by OneMommy

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, everyone!

In our St. Patrick’s Day craft post I told you how my husband wanted to hide gold coins this year….

Well, I decided to step it up a wee bit with some wee little green footprints leading to the treasure….St. Patrick's Day treasure hunt

I actually had 3 different treasure spots set up, which is a good thing, because the little guy found 2 of them before anyone else was even out of bed!

He was all excited about his gold coins, and he didn’t even know yet that they were actually chocolate!

“Is it green day?” he asked.  When I told him it was, indeed, St. Patrick’s Day, he went racing to his room to find green pants to wear and all his green Hot Wheels.learning colors

For breakfast I splurged on Lucky Charms (usually I get the generic brand).  We also had green milk.St. Patrick's day meal

For those who are wondering, green milk is NOT as exciting to preschoolers as green beer is to college students.  (So if you’re going to try it, I recommend a small portion in case your own little one snubs his nose at it like mine did.)

Love the green cars! My kiddos found all the green candy in our bowl and set it out!

I’m thinking the green candy wouldn’t last long enough to get set out here…. But it might make a few green tongues! 🙂

I wanted to do the lucky charms and green milk thing too, but forgot to get it. Fun ideas.
