With each new heart message they get to stick on the door, the kids are getting more and more excited about decorating for Valentine’s Day. This week we dressed up the kitchen windows with some simple Heart Garland.
To make our hearts we cut out 1 inch thick strips of construction paper, about 8 inches long each.
We folded each strip in half and then rolled in the sides and secured the hearts with a bit of clear tape.
Then we used a hole punch to make a hole on each side of the heart and threaded them (into a lovely pattern) onto pink yarn, which we tied to the curtain rod.
It’s a very simple craft, which really dresses up the kitchen windows!

This is really cute. One year at the Dollar Store I found some cardboard hearts with typical valentines written on them. I strung those together. These would look really darling between them.
