For Mother’s Day week I did a little Thankful Thursday post for all the great mothers I know. This week, in honor of Father’s Day, I want to take a moment to honor my very supportive husband, who is a wonderful Daddy to our 2 little ones.
So, I asked my kids what they loved about Daddy (I made a few educated guesses on the part of my 2 year old), and this is what they had to say:
Why I Love Daddy:
I love my daddy because he loves me.
I love my daddy because he takes me to the pond to look at dinosaur rocks.
I love my daddy because he lifts me up and then puts me down.
I love my daddy and his big truck.
I love my daddy because he wrestles with me.
I love my daddy when he’s happy.
I like it when daddy tickles me.
I love my daddy because he changes my diapers.
I love when daddy sings “Rock a Baby” to me at bedtime.
I want to buy daddy a big shiny gun because he will love it. (Yes, that is what our 3 year old daughter said. Remember Daddy likes to hunt…)
I love Daddy because he builds blocks with me and plays Tinkerbell and princesses.
Thank you, Sweetheart, for being the best Daddy our kids could ask for. Happy Father’s Day!
