Kinetic Sand Sensory Play

July 10, 2014 by OneMommy

I’ve mentioned before how much I love Target.  I don’t think I’ve ever left there empty handed!  In fact, the last time we went I came across our latest favorite when it comes to sensory play:  Kinetic Sand!

I can not even begin to accurately describe this stuff  — but I’ll try!

First, it’s not messy the way regular sand is.  We don’t have itty-bitty sand particles all over when they finish playing, nor do we have a fine dust all over the table.

It can hold it’s shape like wet beach sand, but it’s not wet.playing with kinetic sand

The kids enjoyed trying out a few sand molds with the Kinetic Sand.   Then we got out some of the play dough cutters and had fun using them to shape it!

Even though it holds its shape, when you pick it up it kind of flows.  (Like I said, it is really hard to describe it!)

No matter how you describe it, it is irresistible!  Once you start to play with it, you just can’t stop!

I have to say it’s one of my favorite purchases lately; after all, it keeps the kids entertained for hours!  (Yes, we are talking hours at a time here, folks!)

Do you have a favorite purchase lately that has kept the kids busy?  I’d love to hear about it!

That look so cool. The kids seem to be having lots of fun with it. My grand kids would like it.
    Have a great day,
    Bev
