Blissdom. Blogher. Bloggy Bootcamp. What do they all have in common?
They are all blogging conferences, of course! In other words, wonderful opportunities to meet other bloggers, interact with PR representatives from various of brands, and learn tons of useful blogging tidbits.
When I first started blogging a little over two years ago, I never even thought about going to a blog conference. But now, when I read a post about one of my blogging buddies going to a conference, I have to admit, I’m a little jealous.
One of the problems? All of the major conferences would take some traveling. There would be hotel fees, and gas (or plane tickets) to consider. And I’m just not one of those blogs that is making the kind of money to cover those expenses.
Even if I did, I have one more concern — my kids. In order to travel to the conference I’d need to make sure there was someone who could watch them during the day while the husband was working. And let’s not forget they have never been away from Mommy at night before. Ever. I don’t think I could relax enough to soak up all the excitement of the conference while worrying about how my little ones were getting along.
I was starting to think a blog conference was impossible for me. And then I heard about The Blog Workshop.
The Blog Workshop is an online blog conference happening in May. Online! As in, no need to travel away from my babies. No need to pay for gas or a plane ticket. No need to pay for a hotel room. I can attend the conference from my own home, in my pajamas if I want to; you know how I like a party you can attend in p.j.’s!
Now, let me assure you, just because it is online doesn’t mean they are slacking! There are plenty of informative sessions planned, packed with some pretty impressive guest speakers. Guest speakers range from the social media marketing company IZEA, Blogads, and Sverve CEO Rohit Vashisht, just to name a few.
The conference runs May 17-19, and the cost is just $175. But, I am so excited, because I get to pass on a discount code to my readers! Just use the discount code TBW25HURRY to get $25 off the registration price. Hurry! This offer expires April 26, 2013! All ticket sales end May 10, 2013. For registration click here.

Ugh! I wish it were free. I’d love to attend. But what a great idea. I hope they’ll run it again.

Free would definitely be wonderful!

Now see… I would TOTALLY do this!!!! The only problem is those dates are during my daughter’s dance recitals and I am the coordinator!!! I can barely have a minute to pee, let alone do a conference during those days. GAH! Darn. Missed again… 🙁

Oh, yes, I can see where that could keep you busy! I was just realizing it will be the weekend I will do my son’s birthday party, but I should be able to get most of the guests kicked out by then. 😉

Hi Ladies, keep in mind all conference attendees will have access to the recordings on our site also :). So if you miss anything you can go back and catch it. However, in order to win prizes you have to be present. We have giveaways all 3 days though and also some at our pre-conference social party on May 16th. 🙂
