Mother’s Day. What kind of presents do you like to receive? What types of gifts have you given to your own mother or mother-in-law on that day? For me, Mother’s Day gifts tend to be flowers.
We get hanging baskets for my mother-in-law so she can watch the humming birds that visit them each day. We get some type of potted plant for my mother, and last year my husband took the kids and picked out a few hanging baskets for me, as well.

Now, moms, I’d love to know, what Mother’s Day gift would you love to receive?
I would like a morning that starts off with coffee, breakfast in bed with the paper. Then the entire day off – no childcare, no cooking and certainly no laundry. A girl can always dream…….
A day off? What’s that???? 🙂 Yes, a girl can always dream!

Every mother’s day my hubs has bought me an eversave/groupon for cleaning the house… and so far, EVERY SINGLE ONE of them totally failed at coming through and we got our money back. Is this a sign? I HATE cleaning and would LOVE my house cleaned by someone else…
Oh no! Seriously??? That does seem to be some kind of sign….
I’d love for someone to come in and organize our stuff and tell me the best place to put things so it wouldn’t be such a mess.
Last Mothers’ Day I had only been a mom for two weeks, so my husband didn’t do much for me (and my baby didn’t do anything!) because we were still in survival mode. But this year, I’d like a necklace of my son’s fingerprint. I’ve seen some before and it’s really subtle and beautiful.
In all honesty, last year was the first year my husband thought to get me something — because I guilted him! 🙂
I love the idea of a fingerprint necklace!
Happy Mother’s Day!
