June 19, 2012 by OneMommy

Peanut couldn’t wait to get her pic with him!

Are your kids in a library summer reading program?ย  What fun things have they gotten to do?

We can never make the fun things that our library has set up for the ages of my girls. They always fall when we are away or have sports. We live in the library though. The librarians know my girls’ names by heart. They even hold books that they think they will like. They read a lot!

A lot of times the fun stuff isn’t at the best time for us, either. Usually it’s at quiet time or in this case, Ronald was coming at their bedtime, but we decided it was worth it.
I love that your librarian holds books for your girls! Ours know how much Monkey loves truck books; they get a kick out of how excited he gets each week when he gets new ones.

Ours is easier this year for the little ones. Every 5 books they get a prize. I am making it harder and said they had to be library books we had never read before. They just got their second prize today. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh how FUN! I remember getting to see Ronald McDonald when I was a kid, and I remember that as being the best day ever. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ll have to check and see if the local library is having anything cool like that for their reading summer – they didn’t do much last year…price of being in a small town! ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes – I never got to see Ronald McDonald as a kid, so this was a treat for me, too. ๐Ÿ™‚
