I’ve told you that my preschooler is a little more girly-girl than I am. She loves to play dress up, especially. Last night she got herself all dressed up and asked Daddy to marry her.
Mommy played photographer for the wondrous occasion, and I was also “the girl that holds the bride’s flowers while she marries…”
My little Peanut hasn’t actually been to a wedding before, but she knows the bride walks down the aisle…Then she handed me her bouquet so she and Daddy could “get married,” which involved dancing, of course.
It was a very sweet moment, one I am sure I will look back on and smile years from now when and if our little girl does become someone’s bride. I am thankful we have the years ahead of us before I truly have to let my little girl go…
And I am thankful for all the moments that make her this happy:It’s times like these that make parenting that much sweeter.
What parenting moment are you thankful for this week?

That is so beautiful! I’m sure Daddy is going to treasure this moment… something to think about when he walks her down the aisle someday. Wow, just brings a lump to my throat thinking about it!
This is the parenting moment that got me all choked up this week: http://raisingpaityn.blogspot.com/2011/08/it-happens-someday-and-then-you-wish-it.html
These days just seem to fly by, don’t they?

It’s so rare that hubby lets me use pics of him… But some are irresistible.
Have a great weekend!
