One Magical Moment

February 10, 2011 by OneMommy

I feel like my daughter has had the spotlight on here when it comes to my kids, and since she is three and is much more capable of climbing and talking than her younger brother, that probably makes sense. But today’s Thankful Thursday post is about my son.

Every day for the past week Monkey has come into the kitchen and held his arms up for me. When I pick him up he points to the radio. That’s when the magic happens. Mommy turns on the Best of the Laurie Berkner Band CD and we dance.

It only lasts a song or two; after all, a little boy has to play cars sometime. But it is a special time between just the two of us, and I am thankful that I get to share this with him. I know there will be a time when he won’t want to dance with Mommy, so I am going to soak up every minute while I can.

You bring back the best memories from when my kids and the grandkids were little! Thank you.

Aww, this reminds me of when my son was tiny and for some reason he liked to put on his dad’s baseball cap and dance around to Frank Sinatra’s, Fly Me To The Moon. I miss that. Savor it while you can.
