We got the best news in a long time — no cancer! It was a very bad hematoma. The bad news is that the vet believes one of our neighbors must have hit our girl with a board or something to cause the damage she has sustained. She has a lot of necrosis, and there will be a huge scar when her fur grows back, but the vet is very optimistic now.

Keeping them comfortable is sometimes the best we can do. Just from reading your comment I can tell you love your Sadie very much. She is a lucky girl!

It’s so hard to see them hurt! Ours was hit by a car 4 years ago, but thankfully didn’t have to stay at the vet long. She is doing much better now that she is home.

Thank you. I haven’t taken many pics of her with her injury; I should really include one of her after pictures. Poor thing is half shaved.

The best news came in yesterday. The second biopsy also showed it is not cancer.
