Ok this is so cozy! I love it. I have homeschooled for over a decade. I homeschooled my now 20 year old through up to 2 years ago( he is now in college doing great)! It was a wonderful journey for us. He did attend public school for a few years but did not do as well so pulled him back out & brought him home again. Also still homeschooling my 15 year old in the 9th grade. We love homeschooling and have had so many different seasons & experiences over the years. I cried when my son graduated because I looked back over all the years together & those different seasons and couldn't belive it was finally over & that we both did it! I am thankful the journey is not yet over for us with my girl. My teen girl will be attending her first homeschool science fair ever. Since we moved to a larger city there is so much more enrichment I can add to her year. If I ever adopt in the future I will also homeschool. I had my kids ( very young) so I still have a lot of life & motivation left to teach . My girl will be done in only 2-3 short more years. I used to have a cozy little homeschool room like yours at our old house and I so miss it!

I am hoping it is a positive experience for both my children. I know it is the right move for my son, and I hope it helps bring my daughter and I closer together.

I homeschooled my son from middle school through highschool. It was a wonderful experience for us. Since there was only one child to teach we delved into many additional subjects including languages, religions of the world, art, etc. I made sure that we had some sort of physical fitness everyday and we also enrolled him in sports groups.
I've never been sorry and my son enjoyed it too. The best part was that we could take road trips whenever we wanted and so we could incorporate geography and map reading along with historical sites in his schooling.
