Simple Jellyfish Craft

May 12, 2015 by OneMommy

This weekend we had an ocean-themed birthday party for our son.  Looking for some fun, and thrifty, party decorations, I came up with these super simple plastic bag jellyfish!

Super simple jellyfish craft -- great for party decorations!

Want to make your own jellyfish?

Take a plastic shopping bag and place two more plastic bags inside it.

Squish them towards the bottom to form your jellyfish’s “head” and tie your bag into a knot.

Use scissors to cut the bag’s handles in half and to cut tentacles.

Instant jellyfish!

Tip:  If using your jellyfish for a party decoration, you can easily hide any writing on the outer part of the bag by taping that portion to the wall.  Or, if you hang them from the ceiling, just angle the writing section so you don’t see it from the floor.

Remember:  Never plastic bags can be dangerous to young children!  Please use your own discretion when decorating with plastic bag jellyfish.

We love jellyfish! I’ll have to think of some other things to craftcycle for embellishments. Thanks for posting. Hello from Frugal Family Linky.
