Summertime Festival

August 8, 2012 by OneMommy

After attending our electric co-op’s family day festival last year, both of our kids couldn’t wait for this year’s trip.

Free food, drinks, snow cones, ice cream, petting zoo, games and prizes?  Hey, I couldn’t wait either!

This year they added something new – a huge blow up fire truck with a slide in it!  (I even got to try it out with my littlest preschooler.)

Peanut trying out the slide~

After winning some great prizes, we settled down for some hotdogs and chips.

See the rainbow hair and the huge blow up hammer? Things that make kids happy…

Then Peanut got her face painted,

face painting
A purple unicorn with glitter. What more could a 4 year-old girl want?

and Monkey devoured his blue snowcone.

We went home with 2 happy, and tired, kids.

Have you taken the kids to a festival this year?

They did have a lot of fun. We actually haven’t made it to any “big” festivals yet, and so far, I don’t think we are in a rush to go to one. This one tuckered them out as it was!

our little towns’ annual summer fair is this weekend. The kids are bouncing already with excitement! Candy apples, cotton candy, rides, games, horses and a smash up derby. I gotta admit — I can’t wait either. love me my annual candy apple!
