Oh my goodness! I must have lost track of time… Welcome, welcome! I can’t believe it’s time for the Ultimate Blog Party again!

Please excuse the mess; we’ve been busy crafting again this morning. (Just step over the empty egg carton and craft sticks over there, and watch the hot glue gun! That thing will get you every time…)

Let me introduce myself; I go my OneMommy here in the blog world. I’m a former middle school teacher who left the classroom to become a SAHM to my babies here in SW Ohio. (Okay, so one is 6 now and the other is going to be 5 soon…. They are STILL my babies!) I’ve been blogging here for the past 3 years.

How did my blog get it’s name?

As a mom you tend to get pulled in a lot of directions: the baby is crying; the toddler needs a snack; the dog wants out; the husband is looking for dinner…. You get the idea. I found myself saying, “There’s just one mommy…” a lot, and the name was born.

Now a days the name has taken on a new meaning to me. It’s all about trying to be the best mommy I can be for my kids — after all, there’s just one mommy!

If you search the web, there is literally hundreds of pages of information out there on how to boost your page views and grow your social media followers. But who has time to sift through all the suggestions and figure out what really works?

As a mom to two very active kids, I know I sure don’t. Normally, by the end of the day, when they are finally asleep, I barely have energy to type up a new post. I sure don’t want to stay up all night trying to figure out SEO and all that social media stuff.

That is one reason I was so happy to discover Boost Your Blog in 100 Days (#BB100).

These five, fabulous bloggers have gone to conferences, grown their blogs, and want to share what they have learned.

Why 100 Days?

Thaleia of Something 2 Offer explains: “Well, to be honest I am a very, very busy mom of 4 children 11 years and under. I do not have extra time to spend laboring over by blog and Social Media. I want results and habits that can transform the limited time I have into something incredible. Spreading out 10 challenges over 10 days each just sounds better to me. Spending just 10-15 minutes a day versus an hour or two makes more sense to me. Easing into each new challenge should help create a habit a little easier. This will also give you a better understanding of why a particular challenge should be done daily or weekly and how it has helped you.”

10-15 minutes a day is something I can do. And being able to ease into each new challenge, not having to have it all figured out in one day? Perfect! Because, let’s face it, sometimes it takes a couple days for things to really “click.”

Interested?

Great! Anyone with a blog CAN participate. You may do one or all 10 challenges at your own pace or join in daily!

They are all blogging conferences, of course! In other words, wonderful opportunities to meet other bloggers, interact with PR representatives from various of brands, and learn tons of useful blogging tidbits.

When I first started blogging a little over two years ago, I never even thought about going to a blog conference. But now, when I read a post about one of my blogging buddies going to a conference, I have to admit, I’m a little jealous.

One of the problems? All of the major conferences would take some traveling. There would be hotel fees, and gas (or plane tickets) to consider. And I’m just not one of those blogs that is making the kind of money to cover those expenses.

Even if I did, I have one more concern — my kids. In order to travel to the conference I’d need to make sure there was someone who could watch them during the day while the husband was working. And let’s not forget they have never been away from Mommy at night before. Ever. I don’t think I could relax enough to soak up all the excitement of the conference while worrying about how my little ones were getting along.

I was starting to think a blog conference was impossible for me. And then I heard about The Blog Workshop.

The Blog Workshop is an online blog conference happening in May. Online! As in, no need to travel away from my babies. No need to pay for gas or a plane ticket. No need to pay for a hotel room. I can attend the conference from my own home, in my pajamas if I want to; you know how I like a party you can attend in p.j.’s!

Now, let me assure you, just because it is online doesn’t mean they are slacking! There are plenty of informative sessions planned, packed with some pretty impressive guest speakers. Guest speakers range from the social media marketing company IZEA, Blogads, and Sverve CEO Rohit Vashisht, just to name a few.

The conference runs May 17-19, and the cost is just $175. But, I am so excited, because I get to pass on a discount code to my readers! Just use the discount code TBW25HURRY to get $25 off the registration price. Hurry! This offer expires April 26, 2013! All ticket sales end May 10, 2013. For registration click here.

Have you ever attended a blog conference? I’d love to hear about your experience!

The post Looking for a Blog Conference Near You? first appeared on There's Just One Mommy.

The party’s over.

All that’s left is to pick up the mess left behind.

Oh, wait! That mess was here all along…

Like all good parties, the Ultimate Blog Party 2013 seems to have flown by! I had the privilege of meeting some awesome bloggers that I know I’ll be reading more of, like Lauralee from Switching Classrooms. (I love meeting other former teachers turned SAHM!) Oh! And Elisa from I Must-ache You, Mama.

And, of course, I got to run into some of my pals at the party. (Waving to Ginny Marie from Lemon Drop Pie and Chris Carter of The Mom Cafe.)

I’ve had so much fun at the party this year, I just hate to see it end. Thankfully all the party links will remain up over a 5 Minutes for Mom. (They are even having a bit of an after party, party!!)

If you missed my party post, you can find it here.

Now, if you will excuse me, it looks like I have some cleaning up to do!
