Oh I have to agree, a SAHM is a teacher, too. I haven’t left my profession, I just don’t get paid the same way now – now I get paid in hugs!

I admire her. She is also a part time vice principle. I also believe stay at home moms are teachers as well. I’m a stay at home grandma and Abby learns something new every day and it amazes me.

They are totally underpaid! Unfortunately most people don’t believe it. I remember spending many hours working on things at home for my students: planning lessons, creating games to review for tests, spending my own money on prizes…

Yes, as small part of me misses that, too. But then I look at my own kids and realize how much they have grown and learned this year.

Teachers work their butt of to be a confidant, a educational provider, and sometimes a parent. Teachers have a profession that they can’t leave at home. We mold the leaders of tomorrow and are totally under paid!
