Thankful for Chocolate, Lollipops, Jesus and God

November 14, 2012 by OneMommy

Is it just me or is November just flying by?  I lost track of time somehow…and just realized that Thanksgiving is next week!

I can’t believe there’s just a few short days before I am basting a turkey and getting all the trimmings done on Thanksgiving dinner…

This week for Thankful Thursday I wanted to share some of this week’s leaves that were added to  our Tree of Thanks…thankful tree

  • Chocolate, lollipops, Jesus and God   (This one was little guy’s.)
  • Mamaw, Grandpa, my house and my toys
  • Grandma Owl
  • Playing with my cousin
  • Pancakes  (I think that’s up there 5 times now; they must really like pancakes!)
  • I’m thankful that my Peanut didn’t get seriously injured when she hit her head on the I-beam after jumping off the top of the climber we have downstairs.

As always, now it is time for my favorite part…. It’s your turn!

Leave a comment with something you’re thankful for this week.

Or, link up your own THANKFUL post below.  I’d love it if you let your readers know you linked up with There’s Just One Mommy!

I really, really love your Tree of Thanks. What a great idea for teaching your children gratitude!

They loved doing it last year, so we just had to do it again this year. I’m thinking it’s a new family tradition now.

Love this – especially all of the thanks for pancakes! That is too cute! Also – I am glad peanut is ok. That’s a scary thing for you to have to go through!

It’s become a new tradition for us — the kids love getting to add a leaf each day.

I asked the grandkids present what they are thankful for today….
1.) The six year old is thankful for “veterans saving the world, God, mom, and dad”
2.) The nine year old is thankful that “grandpa is coming home in a week.”

I also asked the two year old that I watch and his response was “papa.”

I personally am thankful that all the kids are healthy and have to agree with the nine year old that I am thankful that grandpa is coming home in a week. I miss him a lot. Thankful that I am healthy as well.

    We are truly blessed:-)

🙂 First time visitor… new follower. Would love for a return visit. I’ve linked up. As much as I love what my kids are thankful for (they come up with interesting things) I came up with an odd list myself 😉 “Chocolate, lollipops, Jesus and God” Those are ALL good things! haha!

I am thankful for so many things!! I am so grateful my daughter has been healthier than she has EVER been in her nine years of life. I thank GOD for this every. single. day… that she wakes up okay…and goes to bed okay. It’s a new “normal” around here…and for that I am so very thankful! 🙂

I know what you mean! I definitely lost track of time too and couldn’t believe Thanksgiving was NEXT week! I realized it last night, haha! Crazy!

I love your tree of thanks. What a great idea! Today I am thankful to have a great relationship with my parents-in-law (we are headed to see them tonight!). 🙂

Glad it’s not just me losing track of time! 🙂 A good relationship with the in-laws is definitely a blessing! I hear so many awful stories about in-law relationships…
      Happy Thanksgiving!

Visiting from SITS! I was happy to see you do a Thankful Thursday link up! In honor of Thanksgiving, I’ve been doing a Thankful Thursday post every week this month. I linked my one from last week, and will link up for the next two weeks. 🙂
