Thankful for Gentle Reminders

April 12, 2012 by OneMommy

Ever have one of those blog post that just wouldn’t write itself?  No, I know they don’t actually write themselves (just like the laundry still sitting in the corner hasn’t folded itself…).  I mean, the post you intend to write, but then everything stops it from happening.  And the whole time you keep thinking the post should go in a different direction anyways…  That kind.

That’s how it’s been here today.

See, I was going to incorporate my Thankful Thursday post today with a prompt I had read last night.  But then I kept finding these posts that made me think, maybe I needed to go simpler.

Posts like this one that reminded me, “If you feel like screaming try whispering and see if that gets their attention.”

And then there was The SITS blog of the day whose confession hit a little too close to home.

There were a few others, too, all dealing with the same theme – and all reminding me of my New Year’s Resolution.  toddler discipline

How have you been doing with yours?

Me?  I’ve had my better days.  I’m still working on the yelling.  Maybe that’s why all those posts kept popping up today – a gentle reminder.

So today I’m thankful for gentle reminders.

And second chances.  (And third and fourth…)

What are you thankful for this week?
