Thankful for My Morning Girl

May 31, 2012 by OneMommy

After a night of waking up and trying to get my now 3 year-old, still doesn’t sleep through the night more than 2 days in a row, little boy back asleep, it can be hard to deal with this first thing in the morning:

Peanut's energy

Yes, I was blessed with a “morning person” for a daughter.

From the moment she opens her eyes, she is go, go, go!

Many a morning she has greeted me, all dressed up in a princess costume, pushing a stroller full of babies, and talking a mile-a-minute.

And although there are times I wish she would have just a little less energy (like when I’m just trying to feel human and drink my hot, caffeinated beverage), I am also thankful for every bit of that energy.  It’s what makes her, her.

So this Thankful Thursday I want to know, what personality traits do your kids have that you’re thankful for?

Bean is our morning girl! Her second nickname is Sunshine because she wakes up with such a smile on her face. It is one of the things I love about her. She balances out my not so in love with mornings personality.
Ash is that person who has such a big heart and wants to protect her friends. I love that she stands up for them if someone is being unkind. I hope that as she grows she will hold onto that and not be intimidated by anyone.

That is DEFINITELY a trait to be proud of – standing up for others.

      I love Sunshine as a nickname. 🙂

That she does! 🙂 Today she woke up ready to craft! (Momma is not awake enough for that right away, but we did do some serious crafting later!)

Man, I’m not a morning person and my kids have never been perky in the morning, although my boys do wake up early. I love that my boys are pretty easy going!! I’m thankful for that!

Easy going kids is definitely a blessing! I have seen some that are pretty high-maintenence.

My son is my morning person. He is not high energy always on the go, but he is so pleasant and so happy to be awake. And he wakes up SUPER EARLY. My youngest daughter can not wake up in the morning. It is tortue. She is only five now and getting her out of bed before 8am is very hard. I have no idea what I am going to do when she is a teenager.

Your daughter is very cute! Even first thing in the morning.

Isn’t it funny how 2 sibs can be so different?

Here it is my son who is not the morning person. He needs a good 1/2 hour to lay around, snuggle and get in a better mood in the morning.

Gotta love those morning people. My 2 year old morning person woke up the other morning immediately asking to go to the park. She had barely opened her eyes! *sigh*

LOL — I love that! Mine always want to go outside in the morning… And I have to tell them I’d like to at least get dressed first.

Let me guess. Her sign is Leo. I’m definitely a grump in the morning, so I would have a hard time dealing with this. But what a wonderful characteristic! Up and happy, ready to go.
