I’ve got quite a few toilet paper tubes saved up, and making turkeys with a few sounded like a good tube craft this gloomy Sunday morning.
Pretty soon I had a variety of feathers cut out, beaks, little peanut shaped waddles, and even feet. The kids were anxious to get started by this point; the preschooler took the initiative and got started without directions – I guess she had a plan in her mind how it should look, and she was right! The toddler also got started with his feather attaching. The preschooler let her turkey’s feathers dry some while she helped Daddy make his delicious brownies. That left me and my Monkey to glue on his waddle, beak, and feet and draw on eyes with markers.
He was so proud of his turkey!

Once the brownies were in the oven, my creative little girl came to finish her turkey, too.
Pretty easy, once I had all the pieces cut out and the kids calmed down a bit. Here they are together:
Have you made any turkey crafts this year with the kids? Share, please! I just might feature your idea in an upcoming post!

Yes, definitely have them cut first! Always a better craft time when prepared…. I was scrambling to get ours cut fast enough!
