I found that even though it hurt the person with whom the trust was broken, they needed to hear my feelings on the matter. This person was able to see that their actions had affected me and my feelings toward them. If this person is a close friend or spouse they will want to work with you on ways to develop trust again.

I struggle with whether or not to let the person in question know that my trust is still not fully there — I know the guilt they feel already.
