#Two Year Olds and Things They Say

October 11, 2011 by OneMommy

The “two’s” get a bad rap, but there are some good things about two year olds…  For instance, I love watching their imaginations just blossom – like listening to my toddler talk for his toys or have his stuffed animals wrestle each other.

And sometimes just the things my two year old says and does crack me up.   A few weeks ago my mother-in-law got the kids a Cookie Monster Play-Doh toy, where Cookie monster “eats” all kinds of treats you make from Play-Doh.  Well, both kids LOVE the thing, especially my little guy.  There have been a few little tiffs over it…

The last time the grandparents were babysitting them, the toddler started playing with the Play-Doh in the kitchen with Mamaw, while his sister was snuggling with Papaw in front of the t.v.  When the preschooler realized what they were playing, she went in to play too.

I’m told that little guy scrambled over to the seat his sister was climbing into faster than he’s moved before(they have a booth around the table) and preceded to sit on top of big sis.

Then he turned to look at her and said, “Go play baby dolls!”

I can just picture it in my mind.  Yep, his mind is definitely working and the words are coming out left and right.  (Albeit this one was kind of sexist, but a little funny, too in his desire to have Mamaw, and the toy to himself…) Can’t wait to hear what else he has to tell big sis one day (or maybe I CAN wait…).

What funny things have your kids done/said lately?
