Ultimate Blog Party 2013

Ultimate Blog Party 2013

Hi there!  Welcome!

Please, come on in…

I’m so excited you got a chance to stop by and visit!

Please, have a seat.  Just let me grab that stack of kiddie books off the couch for you…  Oh, and watch the floor; Hot Wheels can be dangerous!

Ultimate Blog Party 2013
Cozy? Got to love a party you can go to in your p.j.’s!

Let me introduce myself.  Here, in the blog world, I go by OneMommy.  I am a SAHM to my 5 year-old daughter and 3 (almost 4) year-old son.  Before that?  I was a teacher.  If you think about it, I’m still teaching, just my class size is a lot smaller, the kids a lot shorter, and the pay comes in the form of hugs.

Hungry?  I mean, what’s a party without food, right?  Go ahead and indulge in a batch of the world’s best brownies.  I promise, they go fast!

Now, where was I?  Oh, yes, introductions!  I started There’s Just One Mommy a little over two years ago.  It’s the place I go to unwind, meet a lot of wonderful people, and realize that I’m not alone in this adventure of parenting.

Want to know  a little more about me?  Check out 22 Things I’ve Done.  (Do we have anything in common?)

If you have a few minutes, you may want to check out one of our top read posts:

  • Making a Teapot Cake
  • Cat in the Hat Craft
  • My Confession
  • Hand Print Sheep Craft

Don’t let the party end!  Keep in touch!  Check out There’s Just One Mommy  on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest,  Google+, or follow my RSS Feed.

(And, if you’re looking for a way to keep the kids occupied while you’re at the party,  you might want to check out our top craft — the water bottle fish.)

HELLO! I am so glad to meet you – this is why I do the UBP. We are teachers, every day. Even when we are not “teaching,” right? I have a facebook page at Switching Classrooms. I am going to try those brownies, and put your button on my blog. I’m glad we connected. Lauralee

I thought about staying up to put up the post last night, and opted to wait to get it up this morning –in my jammies, of course!

Hi. I was of course already following you on Facebook and Twitter. I’m also following you on Pinterest and Google+ now! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog again today. You never need a UBP13 to do so, and I appreciate that. Hope all is grand with you? My wife, the not-so-wee-one and I are doing super. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for the Pinterest and Google+ follows!
Here we are all itching for warmer weather! The kids actually got out their swim suits and wanted to swim — couldn’t explain to them that 60 degrees is still not warm enough! 🙂

Stopping by from the UBP13. We do have some things in common:) I was also a Girl Scout through my senior year of HS and earned my Silver award. And I was a substitute teacher and taught middle school Tech Ed without being certified…they really like me.

    Have a great weekend!

Oh I must try out your brownie recipe although I’m sure my waist will hate me. It’s continuing to dislike me lately. And I’ve learned to never pick my feet up with kid toys on the floor. I do a shuffle walk so I don’t impale myself on legos, barbies or hot wheels. lol

    • OneMommy says

      April 8, 2013 at 1:03 pm

Make the brownies… your taste buds will thank you. 🙂 Besides, it’s a party!
I will have to pass the shuffle along walk idea to my husband who is always stepping on things.

Thanks for stopping by; can’t wait to head your way! 🙂

This year we did homeschool for preschool. My daughter is such a social butterfly, and we live so far away from anyone, that I don’t think homeschool would work for her. My son on the other hand… I may consider it when he gets older!

Thanks for stopping in from the party! Off to read your party post!
