It is amazing what children pick up when WE think they aren’t listening. I’ve noticed similar conversations between my girls. Once it was about lying.
My oldest said, “That’s not nice. That wasn’t true. Do you know who the Father of the Lie is?”
To which her sister said, “Satan,” with a sad, scared sound in her voice.
“That’s right and he is God’s enemy. You don’t want to be God’s enemy, do you?”
Pretty heavy for a six year old, but it just reinforced to me that she has been listening and soaking it all in all along. Love my conscientious little ones.
