With the cold weather keeping kids inside more, February is the perfect time for lots of kids Valentine’s Day crafts.
I absolutely love crafting with little ones.
This simple Love Tree Craft is a fun Preschooler Valentine’s Day Craft can be done with paint or tracing with markers, making it one of our favorites.
Toddlers and preschoolers will love making this simple tree with hearts.
They’ll also love making Heart Animals!
Love Tree Craft
Materials Needed:
- Construction Paper
- Crayons (or acrylic paint)
- Heart Stickers
This preschooler Valentine’s Day craft is also adorable if you paint your child’s arm and hand and the have them press it to the paper to make the tree trunk.
My son doesn’t like paint touching his hands, so I traced his arm for him with a crayon and then he colored it.
Never force a child to craft in a way that feels wrong to them. Use the way that will work best for your child.
Once you have your trunk made, let your child decorate the tree with lots of colorful heart sticker “leaves.” You could also use pre-cut paper hearts and have your child glue them to the tree.
This simple Love Tree Craft is one of our favorite Preschooler Valentine’s Day crafts. It would be fun with toddlers, too.
