Homemade Watermelon and Berry Ice Pops

August 13, 2013 by OneMommy

Whenever we get a big watermelon we tend to eat half, and then the other half just sits in the refrigerator.  This time around I decided to turn that uneaten half into homemade ice pops.  (You may also want to check out our  yogurt popsicle recipe.)

The popsicles turned out delicious, and they were so easy to make.

Homemade Watermelon Popsicle Recipe:

To make watermelon ice pops, cut the watermelon into cubes that are small enough to go into the blender.  Puree the fruit and then pour into popsicle molds.

To make watermelon-berry popsicles, simply add in whatever type of berries you like best.  We added blueberries and raspberries to the watermelon in the blender.  Strawberries would also be yummy.

Let your popsicles set up in the freezer overnight.  These watermelon-berry ice pops make a delicious and healthy summer treat you’ll be glad to give your kids this summer.

I love these. Anything healthy is such a great idea for our families. There’s just too much bad food out there.

Sometimes when you look at the “healthy” snacks they have out there it is amazing what they put in them.
