Why Manic Monday?

July 11, 2011 by OneMommy

mommy with kidsHappy Monday, everyone!

It’s time for another Manic Monday.  Which brings me to the question I’m sure many of you have wondered, just what is Manic Monday?

Manic Monday is where I post a little glimpse into the crazy world of living with kids.  In my case it is life with a preschooler daughter and toddler son.  Usually the post centers around some crazy thing they’ve done or dealing with one or both of them in a less than perfect situation.  Sometimes I include the dog; after all, the almost 70 pound mutt does enough crazy things of her own, and whines almost as much as a toddler can.

Why Monday?

Mondays just seem to be a little crazier around here than other days during the week.  I don’t know what it is.  Maybe it is everyone being used to seeing Daddy some during the weekend.  Or maybe it’s because I spend part of the morning picking up the weekend’s clutter.

Today started with Peanut crying because she got up (way too early) to find Daddy leaving for work, Monkey had a very full diaper for Mommy to change (oh goodie, definitely want breakfast now!), and the dog stinks, which means bath time for her with my little helpers (could be another whole post).  At least I have a way to entertain them all for a few minutes this morning!

Hope your Monday runs smoothly!

My kids are at camp this week so today the house feels really empty. Normally Monday is my day off work, but during the summer with school out, it’s not a day off Mommy work.

Nope, Mommy NEVER has a day off work when kids are around! LOL. Enjoy the time they are at camp!

I think I replied twice. The spam protection addition problem threw me in the first reply. Obviously, I’m still learning my way around the frog pond. Now let me answer the math question before I post my comment!

I actually thought the math problem plugin was turned off…. Guess I’ll have to check that! Thanks for the comment – twice! 🙂

The math plugin is one way to keep dummies off the site, I suppose. Oh. There it is again. When I first saw it, I thought, “Geez. I gotta think to comment??” Oh. Hmmm.

2 plus 3 is five-YEAH! I still got it! I’m going to write out the number 5 and see if it still lets me comment… Okay. Nope. It wouldn’t let me. Good to know you’re safe from dummies who spell out their numbers-hahaha!
Have a great day, and thanks for commenting on my blog.

Hmmm… I guess somehow it is still on there. I was getting so much spam that I put it on to get rid of spambots, but then I started getting some really interesting spam… So I thought I had disabled that plugin when I added the other one, which wound up causing all kinds of problems for commenting and got disabled a few days later.
Do you have a plugin you use for spam?

I don’t get much spam on my blogger, but it has the word verification thing on it for all comments. Funny story, my crazy friend Leona who comments often would type the verification letters within her post, and I would say, “What the heck does that mean?” She didn’t realize she was doing it. We had a good laugh. I do get some through my website but it’s not a huge amount.

Okay, let me answer the math problem above and reply!!
